Blue Miniatures

I was commissioned to make illustrations for a book of Arabic poems written by Afrah Al Sabah. Saying that she developed her poems by the beach urged me to develop a series of shell compositions. The compositions are stemmed from my readings of the poems. The work loosely follows miniature painting techniques using layers of ink instead of tea for the background. The book is entitled Shaghaf Azraq (blue passion) and published by Dar Al Farasha, Kuwait.
